When the stakes are high, do not leave the responsibility to others.

It is a heinous crime not to give shelter to those who petition it.

Do not overjoyed by good fortune. Nor be dejected in its absence.

A fool thinks that wealth is the only way to happiness.

Wealth whirls foolish men into eddies of pride and haughtiness.

Self-control

The cultivation of an equable, unperturbed temperament is very important.

Pride

Mountain peaks that kiss the clouds today may be reduced to dust tomorrow. So it is with pride.

Time

Whether you stand still or move, your days diminish. Do not waste precious time in frivolities.
